Revealed: Arjun Kapoor to join Sanjay Dutt in a historical to be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker

Ashutosh Gowariker’s next film is reportedly inspired by a historical battle. We know which chapter in history it is inspired from, but are holding back the information at the behest of the creative team. The battle was one of the most fiercely fought ones between the 16th and 18th centuries and it repeated itself in history three-times over. Ashu, who showed his prowess as a maker, when he handled projects like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar, is fine-tuning his script and readying himself for the film that is to be made on an epic scale.

Be that as it may, we hear the filmmaker has approached young turk Arjun Kapoor for the lead role.  And, that he is in advanced talks with Sanjay Dutt for a pivotal role in the chronicled war saga. We contacted Ashutosh for his side of the story. But he chose not to comment because the modalities are still being worked out.
