According to Mumbai Mirror report, Sridevi has giver her nod to KJo's production which is touted to be a partition drama. The film will be directed by Abhishek Varman, the man whose last directorial venture, 2 States did well for Dharma Productions. Film is extremely special for Karan Johar as it was his father's idea which will finally be made into a film. Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are already a part of it and now even Sanjay Dutt has also been approached for a role.

Now this going to be casting coup of sorts, with Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi coming together on the big screen after a gap of 25 years. The duo was last seen together in 1993 film, Gumraah which was again a Dharma production.

Abhishek Varman is currently busy finalising the script which is scheduled to go on floors early next year and the reports of film being titled Shiddat or Kalank is not true, as the hunt for an apt title is still on.
