R Madhavan and Dia Mirza starrer cult classic film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein turns 19 on Monday amid speculation of a remake. Dia took to her verified Twitter account today and posted a beautiful message for the fans of her first film.

Directed by Gautham Menon, the film was a remake of the filmmaker’s Tamil film Minnale. The 2001 Hindi film also starred Anupam Kher and Saif Ali Khan in critical roles.

The film over the years has become a cult classic with its melodious tracks like 'zara zara', 'sach keh raha hai', 'dil ko tumse pyaar hua' which resonates with the youth today even after 2 decades.

What many people don’t know is that actor/producer Jackky Bhagnani worked on the film as an assistant and it was his first-ever film project.

Given the cult-like status of the film, many fans of the film want a sequel to the film and looks like their wishes will finally come true. Rumour has it that Jackky Bhagnani might be planning on producing a sequel of the film. For the uninformed, The film also marked the debut of both the lead actors and is considered to be a classic not only for its direction but also for its music that is loved by millions even today.
