Mohit Baghel, best remembered as the actor who played Amar Chaudhary in Salman Khan's 'Ready', is no more. The actor died of cancer on Saturday morning in his hometown Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. He was 26-years-old.

Writer-director Raaj Shaandilyaa confirmed the news to PTI. He said, “He is gone too soon. He has been undergoing treatment for cancer in AIIMS hospital in Delhi since six months. I spoke to him last on May 15 and that time he was ok, he had started recovering. He stayed with his parents and elder brother in Mathura.”

Raaj further said that he got to know about the demise through a common friend. He also took to Twitter to share the news and 'Jabariya Jodi' actors Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra paid their condolences.

"One of the nicesttt people to work with! Happy, positive and motivated always. Love you Mohit. RIP," wrote Parineeti. Sidharth, on the other hand, wrote, "Really shocked to hear this news.. Mohit was such a young, happy, funny & talented guy.. we just shot a whole film together! Upsetting news, my prayers with his family."

Raaj had worked with Mohit in Comedy Circus and 'Jabariya Jodi'. He wanted to even cast the actor in 'Dream Girl'. Apart from that, Mohit was seen in 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' and 'Gali Gali Chor Hai'. He was working on 'Milan Talkies' and 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' before the lockdown.
