While Ranbir Kapoor has been busy wrapping up his work commitments, the actor has also signed up for a new film. The movie, helmed by 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Kabir Singh' director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, featured the 'Brahmastra' actor in the lead role.

The makers (Sandeep and Bhushan Kumar) released an announcement video of the same. In the video, Ranbir is heard talking to his father. Ranbir's voice tells his his father to be born as his son in the next birth, so he could show him how much he loves the old man.

The yet-untitled movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra together. While Anil and Bobby worked together in 'Race 3', it would be the first time when Parineeti Chopra will be sharing screen with the two actors.

Take a look at the announcement video here:

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's style of filmmaking and storytelling came into questioning over a slap scene in his movies 'Arjun Reddy' (Telugu original film starring Vijay Deverakonda-Shalini Pandey) and Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer 'Kabir Singh'. In an interview, the filmmaker tried to 'normalize' violence. The statement received a major backlash from people, including Bollywood celebrities.

On the other hand, Ranbir has nearly completed his work commitments towards 'Brahmastra' and 'Shamshera'. The actor is currently on a vacation with his girlfriend Alia Bhatt. Neetu Kapoor accompanied them to the trip to Rajasthan, which is also co-incidentally where Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh (close friends with Ranbir-Alia) were spotted.
