Reality TV star and controversy’s favourite child Rakhi Sawant is all set to tie the knot with Deepak Kalal as she shared the picture of her wedding invitation on her Instagram page. “Together with their families, Deepak Kalal weds Rakhi Sawant. Two loving hearts are getting united and are making a promise to be in love forever,” reads the invitation.
As per the invitation card, the two will tie the knot on December 31 in Los Angeles. Deepak Kalal, who was currently seen in India’s Got Talent season 8, is a social media sensation and has a considerable amount of fan following across all social media websites.
A few minutes after Rakhi Sawant shared the wedding invite on her social media page, Deepak followed suit. He wrote, "Actually we deliberately kept the marriage on 31 December because @priyankachopra and @nickjonas r getting married on 2nd January... Our date was same but We shifted 2 days before .... Thanks Priyanka and Nik coming to our wedding with @beingsalmankhan ....."
In an interview given to Indianexpess.com, Rakhi confirmed the news of her wedding “Yes, it’s true we are getting married. Everyone in the industry is tying the knot and I felt it was the right time for me to get married too. Deepak proposed me on national television on India’s Got Talent and I decided to say yes. We have just finalised the date and will now start preparing for the functions. I will keep updating my fans about everything through social media. For now, we all need your blessings and love for our conjugal life” she confirmed to the website.
When asked about the wedding destination, preperations and guest list, Rakhi told Times of India, "Wedding will take place in Los Angeles on this 31st December this year. There were some functions that were here in India. But Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Khali are going to attend my marriage as I have got a confirmation from them and they are going to come."
Rakhi Sawant has always managed to stay in limelight with her social media posts. Recently, she made headlines when she accused Tanushree Dutta of lying, when the latter had accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of their film in 2008. In retaliation, Dutta slapped a Rs 10 crore defamation on Rakhi Sawant.
