The story of Super 30 has been inspired by Anand Kumar, co-founder of Super 30 - consisting of 30 students who top IIT every year under his tuition. Hrithik Roshan, who has often been tagged as the Greek God, took up the responsibility of playing a common man.

Hrithik Roshan was asked about the talks over his dark skin complexion in Super 30 in an interview with Hindustan Times. The actor answered that by stating, "How does it have no sense. My shade in Agneepath, Dhoom 2 and other films was darker."

"A person who sells papads in a 45-degree temperature will have a dark skin tone, how can that person be blond? Those who are talking about colour are all part of the race. Whether a fair skin actor can't role or has no right to role and choose it?" he questioned.

Super 30, also starring Mrunal Thakur as the female lead, collected Rs. 11.83 crore on its opening day.
