The Kesari actress is all set for long rides for The Girl On The Train remake
From July onwards, Parineeti Chopra, who has bagged the official remake of the Hollywood hit The Girl On The Train, is likely to be stationed in England for two months. Pari has been cast for the role that was essayed by Emily Blunt in the original.
Since a larger part of this psychological thriller unfolds in trains, it’s but natural that Pari will be shooting the film inside real locomotives in the UK.
The actress is also expected to take multiple train rides across the country for two months with passengers from across the globe keeping her company. Those who have seen the original are aware that it was shot in an authentic way with Emily riding alongside real people.
A source from the line production team says, “It’s a thriller that unfolds with Pari’s character witnessing things during her repeated journeys on the train and how she experiences a gamut of emotions during those long rides. So, she is required to travel almost continuously. The train is a key element of the film.”
Pari is known for breathing life into her roles. Given the downward spiral of her character in this film (someone who binges and even has blackouts), the Kesari star is expected to keep to herself throughout the shoot. Sources say she has no plans to socialise even though she will be stationed in one of the most vibrant and happening countries in the world.
WHAT THE MOVIE IS ABOUT
Based on the 2015 bestseller by Paula Hawkins, the film narrates the story of a divorcee who gets entangled in a missing-person’s investigation. Her involvement with what she ‘sees’ is so deep that she almost throws her own life away.
