Parineeti Chopra pays tribute to Lata Mangeshkar with soulful rendition of her iconic song Rahen na Rahen

Actress Parineeti Chopra, on Wednesday, shared a video of her singing the popular 1960s song Rahen na Rahen which is an old romantic original from the movie Mamta (1966), sung by the late Lata Mangeshkar.

The actress sang the song with utmost grace and melody, evoking a spirit of nostalgia in the audience. The new version of the song has reincarnated the effects of the original song.

In the reel, Parineeti is seen singing her heart out on a green sofa, wearing a complimentary green suit and salwar. She posted the video with the caption, "Some songs are not a melody, they are a feeling! (sparkle and green heart emoji)." Parineeti delves into the song's rhythm and gives it her own twist. 

Netizens loved her cover and expressed their love in the comments. One of them said, "Omg mind is blown. Astoundingly amazing."

This is also not the first time the actress has posted a cover of a song. Just a few months ago, Parineeti had posted a video of her singing the Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal's song Tu Jhoom, whilst lounging on the floor. 

On the personal front, the actress got engaged a few months ago to politician Raghav Chadha. Apart from this, Parineeti Chopra last starred in the movie Uunchai, an adventure drama alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher. The actress will now be seen in the upcoming movie The Great Indian Rescue which also stars Akshay Kumar.
