Kangana Ranaut and Jassie Gill starrer Panga fell flat at the box office on Monday with its earnings standing at just 1.25 crore net which takes its total collection till now to 13 crore net. The film is all set to be lights out unless it pulls off a miracle which remains a distant possibility. The film, on Monday, dropped 40% at the BO but it is bad news for Panga as it hardly collected any money on day one. The film should have either have been the same as Friday or preferably more to have any hope to keep floating.
According to a report in Box Office India, Panga's first-week collection is aiming at a 16-17 crore net mark and the film hardly has any chance of doing box office business, similar to Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak. Though Panga is made at an even lower cost than Chhapaak by around 10 crores, it will still be difficult for the film to recover even if we include those.
The report also states that Pagalpanti, Panipat, Chhapaak, and Panga would be few of the worst-performing films at the box office for November, December, and January. There is little hope for the film if it could hold well over the weekdays but with hardly anything to offer, it is going to be struggling to go anywhere from here.
Here are the collections of Panga to date.
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 4,25,00,000
Sunday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, Panga also stars Neena Gupta and Richa Chadha in pivotal roles.
