Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed Padmaavat continues to face protests in India.
As Padmaavat is all set to hit big screens today in India amidst high security, a top official of Pakistan's censor board took to Twitter to announce that Bhansali directed film got the clean chit from the board and will soon hit the theatres.
Mobashir Hasan on Wednesday tweeted, "Padmaavat has been declared fit for public exhibition in the cinema houses without any excision by Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC)."
Central Board of Film Censors #CBFC has declared a feature film containing Indian cast & crew #Padmaavat without any excision suitable for public exhibition in the cinemas with a ‘U’ certification. #CBFC #Unbiasedforartscreativity&healthy entertainment

Hasan also informed that Deepika Padukon'e film Padmaavat has been given 'U' certificate in Pakistan.
However, according to various media reports, some distributors in the neighbouring nation were sceptical of the clearance because of negative portrayal of Alauddin Khilji.
Butto put an end to all apprehensions, Hasan in hi stweet said, "CBFC isn’t biased in arts, creativity and healthy entertainment.”
Meanwhile, back at home, Shri Rajput Karni Sena continued with their protest against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat and the supposed "effort to defame Rajputs", even on the day of its released.
Karni Sena patron Lokendra Singh Kalvi insisted that a 'janta curfew' would be imposed on theatres screening the movie.
Kalvi also sought to shift the blame for the widespread violence, reportedly carried out at many places by members of his outfit, on the movie director Bhansali. He also rejected reports that some Karni Sena members had watched the film ahead of its release terming them as rumours.
He said, "Padmaavat will not be allowed to be released at the cost of defaming Rajputs. Bhansali should recall January 27 (the day he was manhandled) and remember, I am the same Kalvi and this is the same Karni Sena."
Fearing clashes and protests by Karni Sena activists, a mall in Gurugram has cancelled the screening of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmaavat.
According to news agency ANI, PVR Cinemas in Gurugram's Ambience Mall put out a circular stating that the screening of the movie had been cancelled.
Earlier in the day, former Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Menon Rao has lashed out at the Karni Sena for pelting stones at a school bus following protests over the release of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmaavat.
The incident had drawn sharp criticism from many Bollywood directors and citizens alike.
Attacking a school bus is not an agitation. It is terrorism. The people who did it are terrorists. Please refer to them as such.

It is beyond horrible. Why is there such a collapse of law and order in BJP states? Shame on the chief ministers who are allowing this to happen. Speak up please Prime Minister. https://t.co/vDBk6Pi8aw
