If you thought that perfectionist Aamir Khan is the only actor who becomes every character he plays, then it's time to make way for Ranveer Singh. The actor from current crop of generation is ready to take over the  tag of master of disguise now.

After living in the character of Alauddin Khalji for Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmaavat for over a year, the actor has now moved on to his next big screen role in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. The actor has now given up on his long tresses, heavy moustache, beefed up biceps and even the eight pack abs. Ranveer Singh is back to being lean and mean machine for the role of a rapper in his next. 

The actor took to Twitter to share his amazing body transformation, and this one picture completely describes his journey from Padmaavat to Gully Boy.

"Gully Boy" is the story of an underdog who rises from slums and goes on to become an international rapper. This Zoya Akhtar film brings the fair pairing of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt to the big screen. The duo has begun shooting for the film in Dharavi slums of Mumbai last week.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Sing's only film release for 2017, Padmaavat' has finally got a green signal from Supreme Court for a pan India release for the film. This Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor starrer will hit screen on January 25th. 

Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor is ready to release country-wide next week on January 25, the actor seems to breathe a sigh of relief now. While in the epic drama "Padmaavat", Ranveer Singh plays the role of mighty king Sultan Alauddin Khilji, in Zoya Akhtar's "Gully Boy" he becomes a slum boy who likes to rap and with his sincerity and determination rose to fame in the world of entertainment.
