'Padmaavat' box office: The Deepika Padukone film is UNSTOPPABLE! Crosses Rs 80 crore mark on day 3

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat has set the bells ringing at the box office with its humongous collections. After gathering great footfalls at the ticket windows on the Republic Day, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film has already crossed the Rs 80 crore mark on day three. 

As per the early estimates, Padmaavat has managed to rake in a total of Rs 27 crore approx on Saturday, thereby taking the total collections so far to a whopping Rs 83 crore. Since it's again a holiday today, the film is expected to do wonders at the box office on day four as well. 

As of now, Padmaavat seems to be benefiting from the extended long weekend run that it has got, without any competition, thanks to Akshay Kumar, who shifted the release date of his film Pad Man to February 9, thereby giving a solo slot to Padmaavat. In the upcoming week too there's no big release so Bhansali's magnum opus will have ample time and opportunity to grow at the ticket windows. 

If the current trend remains, then Padmaavat will be able to cross the Rs 100 crore mark today itself. A positive word of mouth and stellar performances from the lead cast seem to be working wonders for the film.
