The long weekend is over and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat remains strong at the box office. The Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer has managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark on day four. The film remains unbeatable as the collections saw an upward trend on Sunday, gathering a total of Rs 31 crore in total.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account and gave the full lowdown of the box office collections of Padmaavat. He wrote, "Looking at the overall scenario, #Padmaavat has put up FANTASTIC numbers in its extended weekend... Crosses ₹ 100 cr mark... Wed [limited previews] 5 cr, Thu 19 cr, Fri 32 cr, Sat 27 cr, Sun 31 cr. Total: ₹ 114 cr. India biz."

Though, the film did lose out on substantial businees because a few states did not screen the film owing to the massive protests against its release, still the box office numbers are pretty encouraging. It would now be interesting to see how the film holds on the week days now that it has benefitted from the long Republic Day weekend.
