No festive date for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always released his films on holidays to benefit from the spurt in ticket sales. B-Town has started reserving their holiday releases up to two years in advance. But this year Padmavati will not have a holiday release. Waiting for a festival date would have meant clashing with another release.

So Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone in the title role will release on a regular Friday. Says an insider, “SLB should ensure he gets a solo release because he’s not getting a holiday advantage and there’s a huge budget involved.”
