'My looks reflect complexity of character and normality of his behaviour': Rajkummar Rao on 'Judgementall Hai Kya'

Going by the trailer of Judgementall Hai Kya, the lead actor Rajkummar Rao's transition impressed many. Firstly, he is seen as a rugged and raw guy next door. Then, later on, the talented actor is shown in a suave and slick. We get to see how he has different shades in the film which leads up to doubting on him as the culprit in this murder mystery. This is not the first time, we have seen Rajkummar donning different shades in films.

Meanwhile, talking about his character Keshav's different looks in the film, Rajkummar stated, "I have two remarkably different looks in the film — one where I play this regular boy next door, living in the bustling city of Mumbai, and the other, where I step into this suave gentleman look. The difference in my styling reflects the complexity of my character, at the same time emphasising the normality of his behaviour."

While producer Ekta Kapoor shared, "Rajkummar as Keshav is exactly the opposite. He is the happy ‘normal’ guy and that makes his character fishier. Keshav compels you to wonder who the real culprit is."

Earlier while talking about his choice of films, Rajkummar stated to DNA After Hrs, "What I’m liking about doing all these films is that I’m adding some new element to my characters. I don’t want people to feel that they have seen this stuff earlier. I’m pushing myself, it’s risky but I’m enjoying it. I’m not just taking it easy, it’s not coming naturally to me, but it’s a lot of fun."

Judgementall Hai Kya is slated to release on July 26, 2019.
