Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently made a comment on Kashmiri Pandit ethnic cleansing. He said, "30 yrs have passed. Let's say sorry & move on. It is like two friends who have a fallout but they love each other". The statement caused an uproar on Twitter. While a few demanded boycott on his film 'Shikara', other users stated that the movie is a must-watch.
Commenting on Vidhu Vinod Chopra's statement in a recent interview, Ashoke Pandit questioned, "It’s a matter of serious concern when a filmmaker who has made film on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus says that both the parties (Victims & terrorists) in Kashmir should hug and say sorry to each other and move on. Why should a victim apologize? To narrate a tragedy one cannot be an apologist."
Here's his tweet:
It’s matter of serious concern whn a filmmaker who hs md film on d exodus of Kashmiri Hindus says dt both d parties (Victims & trrsts) in Kashmir shld hug and say sorry to each other nd move on.

Why shld a victim apologise ?
To narrate a tragedy one cannot be an apologist.
A few users accused the filmmaker of the whitewashing of Hindus genocide, rape, and murder.
Take a look:
Vidhu Vinod Chopra insulted Hindu deities in PK, whitewashed image of Sanjay Dutt in Sanju. His recent was super-flop "Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga" starring Sonam Kapoor as a lesbian.

Next is #Shikara on genocide of KPs. Seems an attempt to trivialize the struggles of KPs.
This is how Balasaheb Thackeray helped the exiled #Kashmir Pandits after 1990 exodus. Perhaps the only politician in the 90s who went out of the way to help the hapless Pandits in camps who were looking for some support. #TuesdayMotivation #BoycottShikara pic.twitter.com/hamkd6AIP3
