The captain of India's women cricket team, Mithali, confirmed the news in an interview with Times Of India. She also went on to tell the name of the actress who she would like to see playing her role. "I think Priyanka Chopra will be a great choice (for my biopic)."

Any particular reason? "Our personalities match a lot. However, I am not a movie buff, so I would love the experts to do their job," Mithali added. If Pee Cee actually agrees to essay the role of Mithali, then this will become the second sports biopic of her career. She had earlier done a biopic on ace boxer Mary Kom.

The shoot for Mithali Raj's biopic is expected to begin in early 2019. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is currently gearing up for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, which also stars Salman Khan and Disha Patani.

In Hollywood, Priyanka will be next seen in 'A Kid Like Jake', directed by Silas Howard, along with Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer.
