Anurag Kashyap was recently invited at a discussion over Taapsee Pannu's upcoming movie 'Thappad'. The filmmaker went on to say that many problems (in India) would be solved if Home Minister (Amit Shah) apologizes. He was, of course, hinting at the ongoing violence in Delhi.
Anurag Kashyap went on to say, "Duniya mai humari aadhi problems solve ho jaayenge agar home minister sorry bol de toh.. kitni problems solve ho jaayenge." (half of our problems would be solved if the Home Minister apologizes)
Kashyap made the statement after Taapsee Pannu spoke about the movie. She said that the husband, despite publicly humiliating his wife with a slap, did not apologize to her till the end. Taapsee stated that there was a reason why the husband did not apologize.
Releasing on February 28, 'Thappad' is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The movie also stars Dia Mirza in a pivotal role and Pavail Gulati as Taapsee's husband. The movie is based on how a wife stands up for domestic violence and demands a divorce following a single slap.
