Several Indians are rejoicing on Kamala Harris becoming the US Vice President-elect. She will become the first Asian-American, African-American and the first-ever female Vice President in the history of the US. Although many have been rooting for Kamala since the US Elections were announced, it was Mallika Sherawat who had predicted this historic moment back in 2009. Yes, the actor's decade-old tweet has gone viral on the Internet and for the right reasons.

In the tweet, Mallika had written on June 23, 2009, read as "Having fun at a fancy event with a woman who they say could be US President, Kamala Harris. Chicks rule!"

Mallika had also taken to her Facebook page and shared a photo posing with Kamala. She had captioned it stating, "with Kamala Harris, the attorney general of San Francisco. I was inspired by her for my role in Politics of Love..."

Earlier during an interaction with WIRED, Mallika had revealed that Kamala was an inspiration for her role in Politics of Love. She had stated, "I play a half-Indian half-African American woman (like ‘the female Obama’ Kamala Harris) who falls in love with a black Republican! With a Lil hard work, combined with some gospel churchin’, hip-hop dance classes and slanguage lessons: I’ll be a swaggalicious suga mama in no time at all!"
