Alia Bhatt is all set to team up with her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt in his upcoming directorial Sadak 2. With this film, Mahesh returns to direction after two decades. Sadak 2 is a sequel to Bhatt's 1991 directorial Sadak which starred Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles. The upcoming film will have Sanjay and Pooja reprising their roles along with Alia and Aditya Roy Kapur. Sadak 2 has finally gone on floors in Mumbai a couple of days back.

Earlier, it was reported that Sadak 2 is scheduled to release on March 25, 2019. Now, Fox Star Hindi took to their Twitter page and announced the new release date. They tweeted, "The roads will intersect once again. #Sadak2 in cinemas on 10th July, 2020. @aliaa08 #AdityaRoyKapur @duttsanjay @PoojaB1972 @MaheshNBhatt #MukeshBhatt @VisheshFilms"

During an interaction with PTI, when Alia was asked about working with dad Mahesh in Sadak 2, she had stated, "It will never be easy as I don't know him as a director, I know him as a dad. Working with him as a director will be a different ball game altogether. I am excited. It is an exciting film."

The Kalank actor added, "Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) pushed him this time. I did not. He is my father and he is always unpredictable. He has done the most unpredictable thing of directing a film after a long time."

This is the first time we will see sisters Pooja and Alia sharing the screen space for the first time.
