Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap, who made the short film, Toffee (2018), will make her B-Town directorial debut soon. Her first movie — a slice-of-life drama about two women — deals with the subject of urban existence and conflicts. A source says, “The project has been tentatively titled Sharma Ji Ki Beti. The team was looking for two actresses from different age groups for it.” Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Saiyami Kher, who made her debut in Hindi films with Mirzya (2016), will soon be signing on the dotted line. The source adds, “The makers had begun talks with Madhuri last year, who recently gave her nod. She has an author-backed role. Saiyami’s character is that of a modern Indian girl, who is athletic and plays cricket. The makers have already had joint narrations with both the ladies.”
