Gulabo Sitabo starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in lead roles got a direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime Video on June 12 and has been received with immense love and appreciation from the audiences as well as the film industry. The latest to praise the film is Thappad actor Taapsee Pannu who took to her Twitter account on Saturday and praised the film not only for the acting but for the direction and story as well.
In her tweet, Taapsee wrote, "Gibo Sibo is such a cute cute film. It’s like a feel-good ride with some really good actors playing very engaging characters. Leaves you with a ‘beautiful’ feeling. @ShoojitSircar and @juhichaturvedi what a sweet world you created on screen. Congratulations @ronnielahiri #Sheel."
She further added, "@SrBachchan is so adorable ! @ayushmannk is that lisp for real!? #Srishti #VijayRaaz #BrijendraKala so so good you all are #GulaboSitabo." Recently, Ayushmann too, who shared screen space with legendary actor Amitabh in Gulabo Sitabo for the first time said that he has idolised his co-star since childhood and that sharing screen space with him was an amazing experience.
In an Instagram post, gushing about him, Ayushmann said that every aspiring actor dreams of achieving what Amitabh has. He said that though they were at loggerheads with each other in the film, in reality, he does not have the audacity to say anything in front of his co-star. Ayushmann, who made his Bollywood debut with Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor in 2012, also thanked the filmmaker for his trust in him.
