Karan Johar pursuing legal action against online trolls after threats of physical harm, abuse to his children and mother

Karan Johar's team is tracking the social media handles that are trying to intimidate him through violence.

Online trolls have increased rampantly post Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. Several Bollywood celebrities namely Karan Johar, Rhea Chakraborty, Alia Bhatt, Sonam K Ahuja, Sonakshi Sinha, Shaheen Bhatt among many others. Now as per the latest reports, after Shaheen and Rhea, Karan is planning to take legal action against online trolls. He has also been subjected to online threats amid nepotism debate. Now, the filmmaker is working on giving a befitting answer to those trolls.

Talking about it, one of Karan's close aide stated, "Karan is actively pursuing legal action. A team of lawyers, as well as online tech experts, have come together to see this through. The tech people in the team are tracking the social media handles that are trying to intimidate him through violence. They want to unearth these accounts, fake and real and submit the evidence to the relevant authorities. The comments got out of hand when people started to threaten physical harm and abuse to his children and gave rape threats against his mother."

Now, if anyone is caught abusing or writing violent messages online would be liable to pay lakhs of rupees as fine along with the hefty imprisonment that comes with it under Section 67 of the IT Act and Section 507 IPC of the Indian legislation.

Meanwhile, Karan has been off social media since Sushant's death. His last post was condolence to the late actor. Karan has been accused of running Bollywood mafia gang by netizens and recently by Kangana Ranaut during an interview.
