Karan Johar complains about not being invited to Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas' wedding; her reason leaves him amazed

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had one of the grandest weddings last year. They however did not allow cellphones in the venue. When Karan Johar expressed shock over the revelation made by Priyanka on his chat show 'Koffee With Karan', PeeCee told him the host wasn't invited because she could've never got his phone.

Priyanka made the big revelation saying, "Literally at my wedding, we had to take people's phones and deposit them. So Serena Williams did this amazing thing which is like a little bag that you have. So you give people the bags, they put their phones inside and you lock it. You can keep the phone but if you ever want to use it, you have to come back to get it unlocked. We had a mobile police stand."

"That's the only way to control it otherwise the pictures that the world see is you doing some random thing," added the actress. Further, on seeing Karan Johar's surprised reaction, Priyanka probed, "Why you think you weren't invited? Cause I would have never got your phone."

Interestingly, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also maintained utmost secrecy when they got married in Lake Como, Italy. The couple had also asked their guests to deposit phones before attending the wedding. Deepika even went on to claim, "The reason we asked our guests not to have cell phones was because we wanted them to be present in the moment. Usually, everyone is on their cell phones, capturing the moment. These moments should be in your mind and heart as they’re never going to come back. Every single guest, I kid you not, is so thankful. People who’ve never danced in their lives were on the dance floor. People who’ve never tasted alcohol were tasting wine. That’s how free people were. They were emotionally present there and they didn’t have any choice but to talk to each other. Since we were a small group of just uncles, aunties, cousins and friends we could ask them to leave their phones behind. Everyone who has meant something to us in our life was there. They understood where we were coming from."

Both Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas and Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh had a close-knit ceremony with their families and immediate friends being part of the celebrations. Meanwhile, Mrs. Priyanka Chopra Jonas attended the 'Koffee With Karan Season 6' finale with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
