A report on MidDay quoted a source as saying, "The makers were to decide between Kriti Sanon and Kangana Ranaut. Since the latter’s schedule looked packed because she’s shooting for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, they were skeptical. But, Arunima took the final call on the lead.” The source also added ghat the biopic will be shot in 60 days at a stretch. After Kangana's Rani Laxmibai biopic's Jaipur schedule ends in December, she will sign the dotted line for Arunima's biopic and the director is to be finalised in a month's time.

Previously, even Farhan Akhtar wanted to make a biopic on Arunima Sinha. Arunima had informed a daily that the actor had come to meet her on May 18 and has proposed the idea to make a film on her life, highlighting her struggles. Apparently, Farhan wanted to make the biopic on Arunima so that people could know about her struggles and feel inspired like his own film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

But looks like the one with Kangana Ranaut will take off first...
