When the director was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on August 11, his film’s crew was worried as Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo was scheduled to be shot on August 14. They couldn’t have postponed it as the Indian cinema icon had already committed his dates in the coming weeks for other assignments. Moreover, Helicopter Eela’s team has to complete the post-production in time, so that the movie can release on September 14.

So, Sarkar ensured that he got leave from the hospital for a few hours to shoot Big B’s scenes at a studio in Andheri. As his treatment was underway, producer Ajay Devgn’s team had also got an ambulance on standby in the studio premises. With Ajay away in Manali for the shoot of his next, his wife, Kajol, was present on the sets to oversee that things went smoothly. At the end of the shoot, Sarkar drove back to the hospital. We hear, he will be discharged tomorrow.
