A special screening of JP Dutta's 'Paltan' was recently organised for the Ministry of Defence and we hear the film got a standing ovation. 'Paltan', that tells the lesser-known story of the 1967 war between India and China, was highly appreacited by the members.

This is the third time when JP Dutta, who has earlier delivered war films showcasing Indo-Pak wars, was invited by the Ministry to make a film on the iconic event. Based on the Nathu La military clashes of 1967 which took place along the Sikkim border, the film showcases an untold story about the Indian armed forces' battle to ward off a Chinese infiltration.

The National-award-winning director has earlier treated the audience with war films like Border, LOC Kargil, and Refugee. The third film of the war trilogy features Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary, Abdul Qadir Amin, Sonu Sood, Sonal Chauhan, Esha Gupta, Monica Gill, Rohit Roy, Siddhant Kapoor, Luv Sinha, and Dipika Kakar.

Presented by Zee Studios and produced by JP Dutta Films, 'Paltan' is slated to release on September 7th.
