Jawan advance booking crosses Rs 10 crore in 24 hours, beats Pathaan's all time record

After making a blockbuster comeback to big screens with Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to enthrall the audience once again with his upcoming movie Jawan. The advance booking of the movie opened in India yesterday and 165K tickets have already been sold. 

According to Sacnilk, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan has recorded an all-time highest pre-sales for any Bollywood movie in the first 24 hours. The advance booking of the film has crossed Rs 10 crore gross collection with 305K tickets sold in the first 24 hours. The movie has sold approximately 165K tickets in the three national chains PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis within 24 hours beating Pathaan’s record of 117K tickets.

The movie might also beat SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2’s record of selling the highest number of tickets in PIC for opening day (650K tickets) if the advance bookings continue at this pace. 

Helmed by Atlee, Jawan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi along with Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Sunil Grover among others in key roles. The movie is made on a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore making it SRK’s most expensive movie ever. 

Present by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The movie will also see Deepika Padukone’s action-packed cameo and is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 7. Recently, the makers released the trailer of the movie taking the internet by storm, Not only this, the trailer was also showcased at the Burj Khalifa with over 20,000 fans in attendance. 

Meanwhile, Other than Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in a special appearance in Salman Khan's Tiger 3. The duo is said to be seen in an action-packed role in the movie and fans can't wait to see them reunite on screen after Pathaan. SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki in the pipeline which is scheduled to hit the theatres in December.
