Although Saif Ali Khan and Alaya F's Jawaani Jaaneman trailer was hilarious and something which appeared to be perfect for Saif, Alaya and Tabu, the first song from the film screams otherwise.

Warning: Jawaani Jaaneman's first song titled 'Gallan Kardi' is the remake of the Punjabi hit song 'Dil Luteya'.

The song begins with a seducing Alaya F stating 'Let Me Love You' while sharing camaraderie with her on-screen father Saif Ali Khan. Just then comes the iconic verse 'Jinhe Mera Dil Luteya, Jinhe Mainu Maar Sutiya'. Just when we had some expectations see Saif dance on 'Gallan Kardi Kardi Shehed Ton Mithiyan,' the word 'dil' was on loop more than required. While we were just getting used to the tunes, there comes the on-loop 'dil' again.

'Gallan Kardi' only loses track thereon with verses like 'Ve Tu Pariyaan Pariyaan Di Rani Choose Kitiyaan'. If stating 'dil' wasn't enough even then, the song ends with the word on loop, once again.

The sad state is that Jazzy B, who originally sung 'Dil Luteya', is an important part of the song, and we would love to believe that his idea was limited to singing verses from the original track. Tabu and Saif Ali Khan are a visual treat wasted on a song that could have had much better execution.

Jyotica Tangri hums the song alongside Jazzy B whereas the music is done by Prem and Hardeep. Preet Harpal and Mumzy Stranger are responsible for the lyrics of the song.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Jawaani Jaaneman is slated for January 31, 2020 release. The movie marks Alaya's debut in Bollywood.
