As part of the inquiry, ED sleuths raided Sukesh Chandrashekhar's huge sea-facing mansion in Chennai. The home is worth ten crores on its own.
According to Enforcement Directorate sources, Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned today as a witness in a money laundering case.
This was in relation to a multi-crore extortion ring allegedly run by Sukesh Chandrashekar, a 'known conman' who is also a suspect in a bribery case involving the Election Commission.
"She is not an accused, but is being examined as a witness in the case against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar," sources in the Enforcement Directorate told NDTV.

Officers were astounded to see the bungalow's lavish facilities, which include a minibar, movie theatre, home gym, pool, and rooftop recreational space.
Inside the home owned by conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, ED officials discovered a walk-in closet containing hundreds of pairs of shoes and garments.
Jacqueline Fernandez (born August 11, 1985) is a Sri Lankan actress, former model, and 2006 Miss Universe Sri Lanka winner who works primarily in Hindi films. She made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with Aladin and has since built a successful career in the Hindi film business.
