On the work front, Meezaan is currently busy with his upcoming film 'Hungama 2', while Navya has been working on Project Naveli.
Jaaved Jaaferi's son Meezaan, who has been linked up with megastar Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda for some time now, recently opened up about the media reports.
In an interview with ETimes, the actor addressed the rumours and talked about how it affected him. On being asked if it was awkward visiting Jalsa amid reports of his link-up rumours with Navya, Meezaan admitted that it was initially and then added, "At that time, it was awkward for me to enter my own house. My parents were giving me looks. And they were like 'what is this?' and I was like 'even I don't know'. I last went there (Jalsa) when they hosted a Diwali bash. The entire industry was there."
"Honestly, me and Navya are really close friends and I think because of me, her name has come up in a lot of places and that is unfair. It's her private life. I don't want to include any of her family. It's really unfair to be talking about someone else at this point of time," Meezan added.
He also spoke about the paparazzi outside Jalsa. Meezan said, "I last went there when they hosted a Diwali bash. The entire industry was there. Jalsa is actually a monument, you cannot be missed by the paparazzi if you go there."
In an earlier interview too, Meezan was asked if he would admit to dating Navya, he had said, "Why will I admit it when there is no relationship? There is no relationship, okay? We're friends. Friends ka bhi ek relationship hota hai (friendship is also a relationship). It's not a boyfriend-girlfriend dating relationship. Just cause we get papped outside a theatre leaving with friends, by the way, that doesn’t mean, 'Oh, we’re dating'."
For the uninformed, Meezaan had made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with Mangesh Hadawale’s 'Malaal'. The film, a remake of the Tamil film '7G Rainbow Colony', also marked the debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, Sharmin Segal.
On the work front, Meezaan is currently busy with his upcoming film 'Hungama 2', while Navya has been working on Project Naveli, an initiative which happens to fight against the issue of gender inequality in the country.
