Amidst the tough time, Janhvi spent her birthday by having a very quiet and private dinner at the Kapoor residence with her family members by her side. Her half-sister Anshula Kapoor hosted a mini family gathering, which was attended by Janhvi’s father Boney Kapoor, her younger sister Khushi Kapoor and cousins Sonam, Rhea and Shanaya Kapoor. Also joining them were Jahaan (Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep's son) and filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi's daughter Tanisha. We believe Arjun Kapoor skipped the dinner as he is currently filming Namastey England alongside Parineeti Chopra in Amritsar.

Sonam posted a beautiful picture on Instagram where the Kapoor girls are seen sharing a hearty laughter with delectable cakes and candles set on the table. She captioned the picture as “#kapooranddaughters”.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Janhvi paid a visit to an old age home just like her mother Sridevi did in the past. Several videos and photos went viral on social media yesterday with Janhvi winning everyone’s hearts with her calm demure and sweet gestures.

Janhvi lost her mother Sridevi just a few days before her 21st birthday. Sridevi breather her last on February 24 by accidental drowning in the bathtub of the hotel room she was staying in Dubai.

On Saturday, Janhvi posted a heartfelt tribute to Sridevi in which she wrote: "Even with all this emptiness, I still feel your love. I feel you protecting me from sadness and pain." Janhvi also appealed to her fans and Instagram followers to "love your parents. Cherish them and devote yourself to making them feel that love."

Janhvi is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar's Dhadak alongisde Ishaan Khatter. Dhadak is directed by Shashank Khaitan and is slated to release on July 6.
