I would like to judge a dance show: Esha Deol

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani recently unveiled a 23-feet statue of Anurag and Prerna from Kasauti Zindagi Kay Reboot in an iconic love pose, in Mumbai. For Esha, the serial is synonymous with the year she began her acting career. “I remember it was the talk-of-the-town and whenever I got time, I used to watch it. My favourite character was the one played by Ronit Roy — he was this suave, charming elderly guy, who was every woman’s dream,” she gushes.      

Bharat’s favourite character, however, is Komolika. “She used to spice up things and we would wait to see what vile ways she would use next,” he says, laughing.  

Though Anurag and Prerna remained star-crossed lovers in the serial, Esha and Bharat were more than excited to unveil the statue of love as the two have been childhood sweethearts. “He had a crush on me when I was 13 and was wearing braces! That is true love,” laughs Esha. Ask them how the concept of love has changed for them over the years and Bharat says it cannot be measured. “It’s the way we are, the understanding, the friendship and the respect we give each other,” he quips. Ask them if they will be seen in a cameo in the serial and Esha quips, “That’s something you have to wait and watch.”

Esha was last seen on TV judging Roadies. What is she looking for next on the small-screen? “I am a good dancer, so I would like to judge a dance reality show,” shares the actress who is currently doing a ballet Ramayan in which she plays Sita.
