'I blame myself', writes Karan Johar after learning that Sushant Singh Rajput took his life

Karan Johar revealed some shocking details while mourning the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The filmmaker blamed himself for not keeping in touch with Sushant despite receiving hints that Singh Rajput wanted a ear to talk to.

"I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year..... I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with...but somehow I never followed up on that feeling...will never make that mistake again...," posted Karan about Sushant.

The filmmaker also said that Sushant's demise is a huge wake-up call for him. He added, "We live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times ...some of us succumb to these silences and go within...we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them....Sushants unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me ..."

"To my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations.....I hope this resonates with all of you as well....will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug ....," posted Karan alongside a photo of him and Sushant from an award ceremony.

Sushant Singh Rajput last film 'Drive' was produced by Karan Johar. The Netflix film also starred Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead role. Initially slated for theatrical release, the movie saw an online release, something that Sushant's last-film-ever 'Dil Bechara' might also be looking at.
