After Hrithik Roshan and Kunal Kapoor praised Shakeel, the good folks on the internet donated for the musician's entire fees in just two days.
Hrithik Roshan has always been one to support and encourage fresh and undiscovered talent. And this time, it wasn't any different either.
When a video of a young, talented singer, performing on the hit track 'Jab Koi Baat' on the side of the street went viral, Hrithik Roshan took to his social media handles to appreciate the same. The singer who was trying to earn money for his music school fees had been appreciated by Kunal Kapoor for his unique use of UPI, which Hrithik retweeted writing, "Wow. How cool is this !!".
The young man, Shakeel, later thanked the 'Super 30' actor for encouraging him and being supporting enough so as to drop a comment.
Earlier, actor Kunal Kapoor had shared the video on his Twitter handle and praised the young musician for his rendition of the track. The actor had also urged his followers to support the 'innovative musician' while pointing out how UPI and technology now made it possible for anyone residing anywhere to help someone in need. Sharing the viral video, Kunal had written, "Brilliant! You can support this very talented and innovative musician from wherever you are. The power of UPI and technology."
The video of Shakeel, which was originally shared by a Twitter user by the handle @ankitv. Later, when Shakeel's video went viral and he found out that Hrithik Roshan and Kunal Kapoor had praised him for his rendition of the song, he put out an Instagram post, thanking Ankit and the two Bollywood stars for lending him support. He wrote in the post, "he viral video that got everyone's attention,video credit: @ankit.today sir, you literally changed my life by sharing this, I want to thank everyone who watched me perform, encouraged me, and contributed to my cause, I'm very thankful and grateful to each and every one of you, I'm blessed to be able to do what I love, To this day none of my parents, families, or my friends knew what I've been up to. I want to tell you all that I am a busker(street performer) and I'm proud of it, I finally got the courage to go public about my identity, @hrithikroshan sir, @kunalkkapoor sir, thank you so much for the courage."
Hrithik Roshan then further commented on the talented singer's own video, saying, "You are amazing . Loved your rendition." The young man was full of gratitude as he replied to the superstar saying, "@hrithikroshan you are an inspiration sir ,thank you so much .... This still feels unreal, feels like I'm dreaming ...."
As for Shakeel's music school fees, well, the good folk on the internet donated for his entire fees in just two days.
