How much for 3 boiled eggs? Musician Shekhar Ravjiani had to pay Rs 1672 at Ahmedabad hotel

Not very long back, actor Rahul Bose was charged Rs. 442.50 for ordering two bananas in a renowned resort. In another bizzare incident, musician Shekhar Ravjiani was charged with Rs. 1672.66 for ordering three boiled eggs in a hotel in Ahmedabad.

Shekhar was actually charged Rs. 1350 for the three boiled eggs. Shekhar, thus ended up paying Rs. 450 per egg in the Hyatt Regency chain of hotel in Ahmedabad.

Apart from that, Shekhar had to pay Rs. 67.50 for service charge of 5% and Rs. 127.58 x 2 for 9% CGST and SGST respectively. Thus, the total amount which Shekhar would have ended up paying per egg was Rs. 557.55.

He could, however, also redeem some amount after the payment, according to the policies of the hotel. Shekhar could redeem an amount of Rs. 322.66. The hotel further clarified that service charge is at discretion.

Sharing an image of the bill, Shekhar wrote, "Rs. 1672 for 3 egg whites??? That was an Eggxorbitant meal."
