Hiroo Johar celebrated her birthday with industry friends on March 18. The wife of late filmmaker Yash Johar turned 76 this year. Her son Karan Johar recently turned a father of twins Yash and Roohi Johar, thus making her a proud grandmother. Karan and Hiroo divide parent duties among them.

Karan Johar hosted the grand birthday bash for his beloved mother. The filmmaker invited all her friends, including Jaya Bachchan and Sharmila Tagore for the party which was hosted in a Mumbai restaurant. Apart from them, Salman Khan's mother Salma, veteran actor Jeetendra's wife Shobha Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor’s wife Nila Devi were also spotted at the do.

Photos and videos from the bash, especially of Karan Johar with his mother Hiroo, have gone viral. In one of the photos, KJo plants a kiss on his mother's head as she speaks in front of a lotus-themed cake. The video of Hiroo giving a sweet birthday speech however has caught everyone's attention. In the video, Hiroo Johar screams at Karan twice so that he stops chattering and starts listening to her, which is literally every Indian mom ever. KJo then went on to say 'let's do it (the birthday bash) every alternate year' to which somebody asks them to keep it 'twice a year'.

The party began previous midnight itself when media-shy couple Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra arrived at the Johar residence twinning in black. Rani has appeared in many Karan Johar movies, including his directorial debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
