Alia Bhatt is currently riding high on the success of her recent release Raazi. The actress has been receiving immense praise and appreciation for the portrayal of her character of Sehmat in the Meghna Gulzar film. In a recent interaction, Alia opened up about the prevalence of casting couch in Bollywood and she also had some advice for those who face it in the industry.

Alia was speaking to Deccan Chronicle and when she was asked about casting couch in Bollywood, she said that the discussion on casting couch has suddenly become a burning topic of discussion and whenever such topics get discussed, the environment becomes very negative and it gives people the perception. 

The Raazi actress shared that though, she hasn't faced it in the industry, she did acknowledge that it exists. She was quoted as saying, "I know and do understand that at times, many boys and girls have to go through bad situations in order to be able to fetch some work. Everyone has to face their own battle of struggle in order to be able to get work in this industry. And during their struggle some people could use the strugglers for their benefit."

Alia added that the issue of casting couch is not just confined to Bollywood, but is a universal one. Her shared her advice to aspiring actors who have to face it and said, "They should always believe in themselves. However, if at all they are confronted with this bad moment (casting couch) they need to immediately inform their parents. And thereafter go to the police."

On the work front, Alia is currently shooting for Kalank. The actress will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh.
