Ranveer Singh has undoubtedly gotten into the skin of his Gully Boy character, making the whole world groove to his beats. Right from the trailer to the first song ‘Apna Time Aayega’ launch, the Gully Boy fever just doesn’t wish to die down, all thanks to Ranveer’s insane way of replicating the character he needs to be.

Reportedly this character is based on Divine and also has inspiration from Naezy, the real Gully Boys. Bollywood Life was in conversation with Divine, who revealed some interesting details about Ranveer. He said that Ranveer researched a lot through observation. “We spent time together, at gigs, in the studio. He spoke to me, about the music, my life and observed everything,” Divine told the portal.

‘Apna Time Aayega’, which featured Ranveer, released yesterday and is penned down by none other than Divine himself. He added, “I have done five songs for the movie, and two were featured in the trailer - Azaadi, which I have sung and Apna time aayega, which Ranveer has.”

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles with Vijay Raaz in a pivotal role. The movie is slated to release on Valentine’s Day i.e. on February 14, 2019.
