Rishi Kapoor is on his way to recovery after successful treatment of bone marrow cancer. The veteran actor along with Neetu Kapoor has been in New York for over 11 months now and made sure to get fully recovered before heading back home. In an interview with Times Now, Rishi praised Neetu by stating, "She has been a rock of Gibraltar, really really supported me without her I wouldn't be not getting anywhere."

When asked about their son and actor Ranbir Kapoor's reaction after hearing the devastating news, Neetu told, "Ranbir came and I told him 'There's something I want to tell you.' I told him what happened, he had tears in his eyes. He was in denial for an hour or so. He composed himself and said 'Let's deal with it'."

She also shared that Ranbir dropped everything then headed to Delhi, where Rishi was staying and all three of them headed to New York together to immediately start with the treatment.

Rishi also revealed that RK has visited them four times and he used to stay for five days every time. He also said, "We were all time dining and lunching out", as he had a gap of a few days between each treatment.

Neetu spoke about Rishi saying, "It's like I told you he became like my child and I wanted to do everything in my power that he should not be in pain, he should get whatever he wants."

During the interview, Rishi went on to say that they will be heading back home by early September.
