'Guns and Thighs' Trailer: Ram Gopal Varma's FIRST web series looks GRITTY and DISTURBING in equal measures!

Ram Gopal Varma shared the teaser-trailer of his first web series titled Guns and Thighs which explores the dark side of the city of Mumbai and its ties with the underworld. RGV took to his Twitter account to share the news with his followers.

He wrote, "Am taking off on a brand new journey towards GUNS and THIGHS http://www.GunsAndThighs.com" and "Trailer of my most ambitious project GUNS and THIGHS Series season 1 trailer http://www.GunsAndThighs.com" he also went on to explain why he chose the said title for the web series and why he chose to explore the web for it and not a feature film in the following tweets.

The over 6 minute long trailer of season one of Guns and Thighs begins with a disclaimer from RGV, that informs why he chose to bring to light the dark side of the city. "I always wanted to tell the complete true story of the Mumbai Mafia. In its raw and real form. Since for various reasons I couldn’t do that in films, I am going to do it here.” 

Quotes from Mahatma Gandhi, Socrates, Aristotle, AL Capone, Ayn Rand and others appear at regular intervals throughout the trailer, only to end by one from Dawood Ibrahim that reads, "You cannot fully live your life unless you are ready to risk death."

The narration in the background of disturbing yet gripping visuals of Mumbai during the time when Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Rajan's D-Company monopolised the city of dreams, speaks volumes about the kind of changes that Mumbai has gone through. What followed as a consequence when Dawood and Rajan parted ways, swearing to kill each other, forms the crux of the story that the 4-season (10 episodes each) long web series attempts to bring to light. 

It's been narrated from the perspective of a mother who lost her son in the gang wars that transpired as a result of the aspiration of ruling over Mumbai after Dawood and Rajan split. Gangsters, political leaders, builders, police, filmmakers, each was at loggerheads with the other. One of the characters can be heard saying that only two things work in the city, namely, power and sex. The series leaves no aspect of the underworld untouched. 
 
The trailer itself is pretty dark, gory and disturbing in parts and is not for the faint hearted. The release date of the web series has not been announced yet.
