The much-awaited Gully Boy trailer has been making waves on the internet ever since it was unveiled at a grand event yesterday. The grand launch was graced by lead actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, director Zoya Akhtar and producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
During the media interactions, a journalist got the hot topic of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s relationship and questioned her about the similarities between Ranbir and Ranveer.
For the uninitiated, Alia will soon star in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra with Ranbir, which is where their relationship bloomed. The film is produced by her mentor Karan Johar, who supposedly played cupid between Ranbir and Alia.
When asked about the similar experiences of working with Ranveer and Ranbir, Alia said, “There are a lot similarities. The only difference is that I am doing Gully Boy with one and Brahmastra with another.”
But how could Ranveer, who was already hyperventilating throughout the event, keep calm? So he spoke on her behalf and said, “Ek thoda zyaada special hai, ek thoda kam (One is a little more special than the other).” This led to the actress blushing and smacking him on his arm. Ranveer, who was trying to rap everything through the event, did not say this in a rap form and we totally missed it.
Ranbir, on the other hand, opened up about his relationship with Alia to a magazine in the year 2018, post which Alia has been posting pictures clicked by him and is seen in pictures with him and his family. They even rang in New Year together in New York, where Rishi Kapoor is ‘on a break’. News about the Ranlia (that’s what fans call them)’s marriage has been making headlines ever since.
