'Ghar Se Nikalte Hi' fame actress Mayoori Kango charts her way in tech world, appointed Google's top executive in India

Have you forgotten the blue-eyed 'Ghar Se Nikalte Hi' actress Mayoori Kango already? Do not forget her so soon, she is now industry head-agency business at Google India. For the uninitiated, she had left IIT Kanpur to make a career in acting. However the actress is back to what she originally set on to do.

Making her Bollywood debut with the National Award winning film 'Naseem' (1995), Mayoori Kango worked with actors such as Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher, Arshad Warsi, Shakti Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rani Mukerji, Chandrachur Singh and Jugal Hansraj.

She then shifted to the small screen and appeared in TV shows like 'Kaahin Kissii Roz', 'Kittie Party', 'Kkusum' and 'Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat'. The actress then got married to Aditya Dhillon in 2003 and pursued an MBA in marketing and finance from City University of New York-Baruch College – Zicklin School of Business.

Mayoori began her career yet again with New York City-based digital agency called 360i. She was as an associate media manager there from 2004 to 2012. She previously worked as managing director of Performics, Digitas as associate director, media and Zenith as Chief Digital Officer.

Having worked in movies like Papa Kehte Hain, Betaabi, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Badal and Papa the Great, Mayoori returned to India from USA after giving birth to her son. Settled in Gurgaon, the agency head at Google shuttles between Mumbai and Bengaluru for work.
