Fighter motion poster: Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor look dapper; fans call it India's answer to Top Gun

The makers of Siddharth Anand’s upcoming aerial warfare drama Fighter released the film’s first motion poster on Independence Day 2023. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, and the motion poster – dubbed Spirit of Fighter – gave the first good look at the three in Air Force fighter pilot uniforms. Fans have hailed the poster, calling the film a blockbuster already.

On August 15 morning, Hrithik and the other stars took to their social media to share the motion poster of Fighter. The poster first reveals Hrithik’s look as a fighter pilot, complete with the classic aviators. We then get a glimpse at Deepika and Anil as well, both dressed for flights. Set to a reworked Vande Mataram, the teaser poster resonates with the fervour of patriotism.

Fans have appreciated the motion poster, praising the looks of the three actors and predicting that the film will be a huge hit. One comment read, "If Hrithik is there, it will be a blockbuster." Another read, "They all look so slick like real Air Force pilots." Many also drew comparisons with Tom Cruise's Top Gun, arguably the definitive film made on aerial combat and fighter pilots. "If Hollywood has Tom Cruise and Top Gun, India has Hrithik Roshan and Fighter. This is our answer. Looks so great."

Fighter’s title poster, also its first look, had been unveiled by Hrithik in June earlier this year. There are still five months to go for the film’s release but the hype has begun already. Presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, the film will hit the theatres on the eve of India's 75th Republic Day, January 25, 2024.
