Farmers' protest: Ajay Devgn's car stopped by man in Mumbai

The commotion, wherein the accused stopped Ajay Devgn's car and asked him to speak on the farmers' protest, lasted for 15-20 minutes.

On Tuesday morning, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn was heading to Mumbai's Filmcity for shooting when a man, Rajdeep Singh, stopped his car and forcibly asked the actor to speak on the ongoing farmers' agitation. The police have arrested the accused under sections 341, 504, 506 of IPC.

According to the accused, he stopped the star because the farmers have been protesting at Delhi borders for over hundred days, but actor Ajay Devgn has not extended his support to the farmers or even tweeted anything in support of them.

Apparently, the commotion wherein the accused stopped Ajay Devgn's car and asked him to speak on the farmers' protest, lasted for approximately 15-20 minutes. 

Following the accused's successful attempt to stop Ajay Devgn's car, a complaint was made to the police form the spot of the commotion after which the actor was rescued and the accused was later arrested.

According to accused Rajdeep's friend who was accompanying him, the former had only gone to speak to Ajay Devgn about the rights of the farmers. 

For the unversed, after international pop icon Rihanna had tweeted in support of the ongoing farmers' protest, several Bollywood stars including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Sachin Tendulkar, Suniel Shetty among others, had put out similar tweets calling out Rihanna's tweet as a propaganda by external forces who were interfering in the internal matters of the country.
