Father-daughter duo Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor are all set to feature together on the silver screen for the first time in their next film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.
The film went on floors in Punjab last week with Anil filming his scenes. On Monday, Sonam joined the team and sharing her excitement, Sonam took to social media to post a picture of the clap from its sets. On Instagram, she wrote along, “Ek Ladki ko dekha! My first shot with my father after 10 years in this industry! Thank you @shellychopradhar for writing something compelling enough for me to take the plunge and thank you #vidhuvinodchopra for making it happen!”
Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film’s title is a line from the popular song from Sonam’s father Anil kapoor’s iconic film 1942: A Love Story.
Apparently, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will feature Rajkummar Rao as Sonam’s love interest and also stars Juhi Chawla. Earlier, Juhi also shared her excitement on reuniting with Anil on screen and wrote, “Here’s to an exciting beginning with @AnilKapoor @sonamakapoor @RajkummarRao in #ShellyChopraDhar’s directorial debut 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' presented by @FoxStarHindi produced by #VidhuVinodChopra & #RajkumariHiraniFilms!
