'Doob' meant hand-rolled cigarette, not marijuana': Rakul Preet Singh to NCB

Atcor Rakul Preet Singh was probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau for four hours on Friday. The actor was asked about her drugs related conversation with Rhea Chakraborty during the probe. The 'doob' in WhatsApp chat, especially was a topic of discussion.

An NCB official told Mumbai Mirror that Rakul revealed 'doob' in the chats was about 'rolled cigarettes' and not marijuana. The statement, however, as noted by the officer, contradicts Rhea Chakraborty's, who had allegedly said the reference to the doob was a reference to marijuana.

Interestingly, Kwan employee Karishma Prakash, who is also Deepika Padukone's manager, and was grilled for seven hours on Friday, was of the same opinion. "When we questioned Karishma about the said conversation, she too said that doob was rolled tobacco cigarette. No other actor is part of this group. We will call her again for investigations on Saturday and also Deepika," the officer said.

Both Deepika and Karishma have arrived at NCB SIT guesthouse in Colaba. They are likely to be confronted during the interrogation over WhatsApp chats, in which 'D' asked 'K' about 'maal'.

Sources had previously told Zee News that Rakul confessed to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) about drugs chat with Rhea Chakraborty in 2018. Rakul told NCB officials that Rhea Chakraborty, in 2018, "spoke to her about getting weed which was at Rakul's house", however, Rakul has denied consumption.
