TV actor Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya reveals why she does not share bikini photos on social media

Of late, a lot of television actresses who essay the role of the 'sanskari' bahus in daily soaps, have shed their inhibitions and flaunted their well-toned bodies on social media, with some even sharing photos in bikinis from their luxurious getaways.

From Hina Khan, Surbhi Jyoti to Erica Fernandez, the telly stars haven't had any qualms about flaunting their curves and have often taken the social media by storm with their glamourous, sizzling photos on Instagram

However, there's one actress who feels awkward donning a bikini and then sharing the photos on a public platform. 

Well, we are talking about television star Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, who became a household name after her roles in the hit serials like  Banoo Main Dulhann, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein among others.

In a recent interview with Times of India, Divyanka revealed why she feels awkward sharing bikini pictures on social media. She said, "The reason is only that I am very 'sharmilee' (shy) in such matters. I feel very shy about wearing a swimsuit or bikini, which is why I wasn't able to learn to swim. It's terrible and it shouldn't be. But it's just I am very awkward about it. I will have to gather a lot of courage before doing this. The girls who put out such beautiful pictures of themselves must be definitely courageous."

Meanwhile, her relationship with husband Vivek Dahiya, and how her father reacted when she told him that they were together, Divyanka told a leading daily, "Dad did raise eyebrows and I hadn't seen him doing that in the case of my earlier 'friends'. This happened because it was clear that Vivek and I were planning to marry. Next, Vivek was interviewed by my dad, sister and brother-in-law. I too was interviewed by his family in a closed room."

Divyanka and Vivek have been married since 2016.
