Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) asked Diljit Dosanjh to cancel the show organized by a Pakistani
On September 21, Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh was all set to perform a show in the USA. The promoter of the show was Pakistani national Rehan Siddiqi. Upon learning about the same, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) wrote one letter to Diljit Dosanjh asking him not to perform there. They also shot a letter Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) demanding cancellation of his visa.
The letter to Diljit stated that the singer's performance would set a wrong precedent in view of the current alarming situation between the two countries. In the letter to the MEA, FWICE also went on to state that Diljit had been 'lured' by the Pak national and thus Diljit and his troupe should not receive their visa or it will make them 'anti-national'.

Soon after the two letters started making rounds of the internet, Diljit Dosanjh clarified his stand. Taking to Twitter, the singer posted a screenshot which read, "My contract is only with Shri Balaji Entertainment." He further went on to confirm postponing the Houston show. "I love my country and will always stand for the greater interest of the nation India always," concluded Diljit.

His ban was eventually lifted. Post India abrogated Article 370 ending Jammu and Kashmir's special status, Pakistan has been running from pillar to post in the international medium to promote their propaganda with very little success.
